Judge: Brenden Oliva and the Lodestone Journal editors

Judge bio: Brenden Oliva grew up a half-Mexican, half-Mormon mutt in Podunk, north Utah. Somehow he made it all the way down to the University of Utah for degrees in Anthropology, Human Biology, and English. At the University of Montana, he earned an MFA in creative writing and also edited fiction for CutBank magazine. When not doing the whole Creative Writing Ph.D. thing at University of Houston, he wrenches on antique Harleys and a baby blue Jeep.
